  • The lead coach of each club-run training session will complete a risk management questionnaire prior to all sessions

    • If there is any doubt as to the size and danger of the conditions for the squad concerned, measures will be undertaken to minimise risk to an acceptable level or alternatively cancel the session or run a land-based activity

Your Role in Safety
  • Participants must be attired in suitable training swimwear - lycra based and/or lightweight

  • All participants in club-run sessions must wear hi-visibility vests in the ocean (see guidelines)

  • Do not attend sessions if you are sick or feel unwell

  • Ensure participants are well hydrated

  • Ensure participants are sun-protected

  • Listen carefully to all safety briefings at training - if unsure please ask the coach

  • U14 participants and unqualified lifeguards are to "sign-in" and "sign-out" of training sessions. Once the training session is complete, junior participants are the responsibility of their parents. Parents, please ensure you are on-time to pick up participants
